I got a call this morning from Amy Currie, my publicist with the awesome firm of Phenix & Phenix out of Austin. I had my first newspaper interview today at 4 PM! I was so excited until it sunk home that I was going to be answering some tough questions. Phenix has positioned me to speak as an authority on the concept of science versus religion; faith versus reason. In “The 13th Demon” I talk about these concepts and use them as a backbone for the story. I’ve been freshening up my expertise in the last few weeks on apologetics. It is so incredible that my love for apologetics which began about ten years ago and my fiction writing have somehow become fused in the media. I not only get to write really cool supernatural thrillers, but I get to talk about the truth of the Christian worldview every time I mention the book! Now that is Divine Synergy (sorry Michael Eisner).

This afternoon I had the pleasure of speaking with Joe Rodriquez, the Faith & Values Reporter for the Witchita Eagle (www.kansas.com). Check out the web page. Joe and I had a great time talking about the upcoming Easter season. It seems every year some yahoo comes out with the latest and greatest evidence that the whole Jesus story is a crock. This season, it is the Lost Tomb of Jesus. Just Google it and you will find dozens of websites all with reliable scholarly evidence that the movie is nothing but a story that twists the evidence to prove that Jesus never rose from the dead. Even atheist historians call the movie a load of hooey.

Joe and I talked about lots of things from the Big Bang to the Da Vinci Code. His article will only reference some of my remarks and will be coming out Easter weekend. So, check out their website and see what Joe gleaned from our heady conversation. I can’t wait to see it!

Thanks Amy at P&P and thanks Joe for showing a passionate interest in the centerpiece substance of “The 13th Demon”.
